The 1769-BA is a lithium battery assembly designed to provide backup power for the volatile memory (RAM) of legacy Allen-Bradley CompactLogix controllers. It preserves controller projects, tag values, and the real-time clock during total power loss. The 1769-BA features a keyed 2-pin connector to prevent misinstallation and is essential for 1769-L2x, L3x, and L23E modular/packaged controllers. Newer 5370 series controllers use energy storage modules instead of this battery.
