Comprehensive Diagnostics and SIL 3 Compliance

Built to meet the stringent requirements of IEC 61508, the FC-SDO-1624 is certified for use in SIL 3 safety instrumented systems (SIS). The module features an advanced diagnostic suite that continuously monitors for field-side anomalies, including short-circuit and open-circuit (line breakage) detection. To ensure the highest level of trust, an integrated hardware watchdog monitors internal processor health; in the event of any discrepancy, the outputs are automatically de-energized to their predetermined safe state.
