The Honeywell FC-SDI-1624 (also referred to as FCSDI1624) is a professional-grade Safe Digital Input Module designed for the Honeywell Fail-Safe Control (FSC) and Safety Manager systems. This module features 16 independent input channels rated for 24 VDC nominal operation. Engineered for high-availability and safety-critical environments, the FC-SDI-1624 serves as the primary interface between field-mounted safety devices—such as emergency stop buttons, limit switches, and flame detectors—and the central safety logic solver.

Advanced Safety and Self-Diagnostics

Designed to meet SIL 3 requirements according to IEC 61508, the FC-SDI-1624 incorporates continuous self-test routines and comprehensive line monitoring. It is capable of detecting internal hardware discrepancies as well as external field wiring faults, including open circuits and short circuits. With a rapid response time of $\leq 10$ ms and a wide operating temperature range from –40 °C to +70 °C, this module provides the rugged reliability necessary for offshore platforms, refineries, and chemical processing facilities. The module draws its operating power directly from the system backplane, ensuring simplified installation and reduced field wiring complexity.
