The 1769-IA8I is a high-reliability digital AC input module designed for the Allen Bradley Compact I/O platform. It is fully compatible with CompactLogix 5370 controllers and MicroLogix 1500 systems. Unlike standard high-density modules that share a common return, the 1769-IA8I features eight individually isolated channels.

This individual isolation allows each input to operate on different AC phases or separate power sources, providing maximum flexibility for complex field wiring. It is engineered to detect 120V AC signals from various pilot devices, including limit switches, float switches, and selector switches, while protecting the controller backplane from electrical noise and ground loop interference.
